The Swedish Nordic Resistance Movement (NMR), known in Swedish as Nordiska motståndsrörelsen, is a far-right, neo-Nazi organization that operates not only in Sweden but also has branches or affiliations in other Nordic countries. Established in the late 1990s, the NMR advocates for a pan-Nordic nationalist government, encompassing Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, and Iceland. The movement is known for its extreme views and has been described as the most militant neo-Nazi organization in Sweden.

The core values and goals of the NMR are deeply rooted in white supremacist and…   ethno-nationalist ideologies. The organization promotes the idea of racial purity and opposes immigration, multiculturalism, and what it perceives as the dilution of Nordic cultures and genes. It seeks to establish a mono-ethnic state, excluding individuals not of Northern European descent. The NMR also harbors anti-Semitic beliefs, blaming Jews for multiculturalism and what it sees as the decline of Western societies.

The NMR's political platform calls for the radical restructuring of Nordic society. It aims to ban all forms of religious practices other than Norse paganism and Christianity, reflecting its blend of ancient and modern extremist ideologies. The movement also advocates for the expulsion of non-Nordic people from the Nordic countries and proposes strict reproductive policies to ensure the racial purity of future generations.

The organization is known for its aggressive tactics, including demonstrations, propaganda distribution, and confrontations with political opponents and minority groups. Its activities have raised significant concerns about domestic security and the rise of far-right extremism in Sweden and the broader Nordic region. The Swedish government and various human rights organizations have condemned the NMR's actions and ideologies, citing them as a threat to democratic values and societal peace.

Despite its controversial stance and activities, the NMR has attempted to participate in the political process, seeking to gain a foothold in local and national politics. However, its extreme views have marginalized it from mainstream political discourse, and it remains a fringe movement with limited public support.
